The next generation of Kingdom of Cambodia passport the e-Passport' was introduced on March 5 2007.

The e-Passport is very similar to the previous Kingdom of Cambodia passport, differing only in having an embedded microchip on the cover.

The chip embedded on the cover stores holder’s digitized photograph, name, gender, date of birth, nationality, passport number, and the passport expiry date.

This is the same information that appears on the printed information page of every passport.

Biometrics technology is also introduced in the e-Passport. This technology will be used to improve identity verification and reduce identity-related fraud.

The e-Passport offers several important advantages over the previous Kingdom of Cambodia Passport. It:

Provides greater protection against fraudulent misuse and tampering;

Reduces the risk of identity fraud;

Ensure the Kingdom of Cambodia Passport stays one of the most secure and respected in the world;

Enhances the protection of Kingdom of Cambodia's border through speedy and secure verification of incoming

Kingdom of Cambodia passport holders;

Facilitate more robust border controls and in time,

Automated immigration checks for faster clearance for e-Passport holders;

Meet international standards set by the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO);

Avoid disadvantaging Cambodia Passport holders as other countries switch to the more secure biometric passports.

Kingdom of Cambodia is one of the first ASEAN nations to introduce ICAO compliant e-Passport.

Border Control

The e-Passport will assist in helping border officials verify the identity of the holder, allowing for quicker passenger processing using the “Autogate” that will authenticate

On its current Mekong River project, the 40 man team are operating 24/7 on a 400 day schedule, shifting 11 million cubic meters of material onto 200 hectares of

land to raise it above the flood plain. The US manufactured 223' x 43' long vessel hydraulically conveys the sand-water mix one kilometre inland to the destination site, at transfer rates up to 2000 cubic metres per hour. The reach of the stern-mounted 24” dredge enables material to be recovered from a maximum depth of 15 metres. The dredge vessel itself is self-sufficient, housing its own

generators and maintenance facilities, crew accommodation and galleys, enabling the round-the-clock operation.
